I quote ‘Turns out, it literally depends who’s asking.’ Means here what Buddha says is scientifically proved too, a method too is suggested. But the crux is in last sentence I quoted. It means we are responsible for our pain and problems etc, if we meditate, as suggested by the Buddha, we can change ourself and become free from all problems too.
